Great view into the rustic valley of the Prüm :)

Settlement above the Prüm that was finally abandoned in 1990 (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staudenhof_(Mauel)). Of most of the buildings, only the "outer shell" remains, the others are completely barricaded. Nevertheless, it is a special place that is worth a visit :)

Almost all buildings are in danger of collapsing and are therefore equipped with site fences and cameras to prevent entry. The old school is currently not in danger of collapsing, but it cannot and should not be entered.

Is sure-footedness required? There are also problems with the knees.

The late medieval fortifications from the 14th century in Hamm near Bitburg is the largest of the privately inhabited Eifel castles. Here you can celebrate parties, get married in a civil ceremony, have a church wedding in the baroque chapel, have children baptized, dine in the Knights' Hall, dance, celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, have a champagne reception in the inner courtyard and much more.
