A disaster on a road bike!!! My thoughts: Oh, poor Germany, your traffic infrastructure 😢

The scenery is beautiful – but "relatively bad" is putting it too kindly (well, maybe it was even better in 2019...) – to put it bluntly: It was the worst road surface I encountered on my 100-mile ride yesterday (March 2025)! Unfortunately, there really seem to be hardly any alternatives here... PS: The truly disastrous section is somewhat shorter than the route presented here as a "highlight": It is located between junction 14 and the Bongarts farm (house number 103 according to OSM).

Anyone who rides here on a mountain bike has to downshift in good time, because it's a short, sharp descent and then an equally sharp climb. Small roots make the passage difficult, but it's doable, even with a traditional mountain bike in good weather.

Narrow trail that is technically easy to ride. You can safely draw some of your attention to the great nature 👍

Einn large forest area with old trees, which is intersected with forest and forest paths. When the sun is strong, the trees provide shade and protection from the wind

Better to avoid with the road bike. It's a shame because it's actually a nice section and there aren't many alternatives nearby.

Can only join me. Very lousy surface on the forest section. I'll never ride my racing bike here again.

Adventurous on the curved path. Narrow path fringed by fern. In the morning, during the week, even on foot OK On weekends and "after work" increased MB volume, so be considerate of each other.
