투르의 성 마르틴에게 봉헌된 옛 요새 교회는 12세기 말경 옛 정착지에 지어졌을 것으로 추정됩니다. 1574년에는 순례 교회로 언급되었고, 1683년에는 문서상 폐허로 기록되었습니다. 1809년 바그람 전투에서 오스트리아군이 카를 대공의 지휘 본부로 사용했습니다. 1817년에는 풍차로 개조되었으며, 이를 위해 동쪽 탑의 잔해 위에 부분적으로 돌출된 원형 탑이 세워졌습니다. 1862년 12월 30일에서 31일로 넘어가는 밤에 건물이 불탔습니다.[1]

Schloss Hof (formerly Schloßhof, originally Hoff an der March) is the largest of the six Marchfeld castles. It is located east of Vienna in the village of Schloßhof in the market town of Engelhartstetten.

Orth Castle is located right in the heart of the Danube-Auen National Park, one of the last great floodplain landscapes in Central Europe. An ideal place to learn more about the fascinating floodplain landscape and its importance for nature conservation while enjoying the beauty of the surroundings.
