A nice covered rest area in Obernzenn where you can cool off in the summer heat.

The Jewish cemetery lies southwest of the town on a hill near the lake. It covers an area of over 6,000 square meters and was perhaps established around 1613. Approximately 200 gravestones remain.

It was a school until the mid-1960s.

The guardhouse existed until the 1970s.

In brief: Three-winged complex with courtyard and stair tower, 18th century, built over older remains, extended and raised several times, funding provided in 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2024. First mentioned in 1445. It has always been owned by the family of the Barons von Seckendorff-Aberdar.

The Wachhausbrunnen (guardhouse fountain) in the village, also called "Wachhäusla" in Franconian dialect. In earlier times, it housed the station of the local police and the night watchman, as well as the oldest prison in Franconia.

To ensure that our lake, which went into operation in 1980, can continue to reliably fulfill its function as a flood retention basin, it was inspected and renovated by the Ansbach Water Management Office in 2024/2025, and sediment was removed in a joint effort. The flood retention basin is scheduled to be put back into operation in mid-November 2025, so that the target water level should be reached again at the beginning of the 2026 bathing season.
