On the eastern shore there are some lovely beer gardens and even a section of beach where dogs are allowed. The path around the lake is paved and in places separated for cyclists and pedestrians.

The weir serves to regulate the inflow and is also used as a bridge connecting Streudorf and Muhr am See. Information boards provide information about the weir and the lake.
