Definitely not cycling here on weekends or when the weather is nice!!!!! It's hell! During the week and early in the morning, it's perfectly possible to cycle along the lake. Otherwise, it's only possible above the lakes!

Always good for a stop at the Fischerhütte am Schlachtensee. If you walk around the Schlachtensee and the Krumme Lanke you have the opportunity to take a break here.

Nice that the beer garden is open at any time of the year. We love to stop here on our walk. The cake is highly recommended, especially with the beautiful view over the lake. Unfortunately not cheap but a great location.

Small Pavilion. Private and not accessible.

Small, very well-kept park with many benches and well-developed paths and direct access to the Schlachtensee. The train station is also right next door.

The Paul-Ernst Park is located on the southern shore of the Schlachtensee. The upper area of the park is particularly striking, a well-groomed lawn with flower beds and a memorial stone for the namesake, the writer and journalist Paul Ernst (1866-1933). There is a nice view of the lake from the northern end of the upper section. From there, Paul-Ernst-Park extends down the slope to the lake shore and from there about a kilometer further east to a small peninsula jutting out into the lake. (Source: http://wikimapia.org)

Schlachtensee is a Berlin district in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district. As an official regional unit, the district was formed on December 11, 2020 from parts of the existing districts of Nikolassee and Zehlendorf. Structurally, the district emerged from several villa colonies that were built at the end of the 19th century south of Schlachtensee, the largest lake in Berlin's Grunewald lake chain. The Schlachtensee district is bordered clockwise, starting at the Mexicoplatz S-Bahn station, by the Wannseebahn, Potsdamer Chaussee, Wasgenstrasse, Spanish Allee, Am Schlachtensee street, the edge of the forest above Schlachtensee, the federal highway 115, Fischerhüttenweg, and Elvirasteig and Limastrasse to Mexico Square.
