Watch out for Dogs, Children, Elderly people meandering, youths drinking, and generally people enjoying the nature at one of Berlins most popular lakes in one of its most populated areas. You have been warned! best approach from Nikolassee at Western end then hop off into the Grunewald by hiking up left on the Northern Bank

Always good for a stop at the Fischerhütte am Schlachtensee. If you walk around the Schlachtensee and the Krumme Lanke you have the opportunity to take a break here.

Nice that the beer garden is open at any time of the year. We love to stop here on our walk. The cake is highly recommended, especially with the beautiful view over the lake. Unfortunately not cheap but a great location.
