The Danube Cycle Path offers a particularly beautiful view of the city and the Alps. The Danube meanders picturesquely through the landscape here, while the Alps can be seen in the background on a clear day. Greinburg Castle and the old town lend the panorama a historical charm, making this section of the cycle path one of the most impressive.

The castle is prominently situated on a rock on the right bank of the Danube, above the municipality of Persenbeug-Gottsdorf, at the transition from the Strudengau to the Nibelungengau.

Booking a guided tour here is definitely worthwhile. A room entirely covered in mosaics made of Danube pebbles or the diamond vault are truly impressive. That alone is worth it.

The beautiful courtyard, the diamond vault, and the Mosaic Room (made entirely of small pebbles) are definitely worth a visit. Individual rooms can be explored independently, while the state rooms are only accessible with a pre-booked guided tour.
