Fishing Fishing yourself in the middle of untouched nature The fishing ponds in Werdermühle near Niemegk are full of rainbow trout, salmon trout, golden trout, brook trout, carp and sturgeon all year round, just waiting for you to catch them. You can have your caught fish smoked here, relax on the lawn or have a snack. The local fishermen sell fishing permits for the lakes around Blankensee.

The first ponds in the Werdermühle were documented as early as 1379. These were created by the Cistercian monks in connection with a mill. From around 1900, these ponds were used for trout farming. The trout farm at Werdermühle was the royal Prussian court supplier at the time. Even today, the popular noble fish can still be found in the crystal-clear waters of the Fläming streams.

There is a path with reading stones here. It is wonderful and each stone has quotes written on tiles. Wonderful idea!
