Train towards Ludwigshafen: Normally you change trains at NW-Böbig. It's quite a long walk to the other platform. If the RB45 is on time, you can continue to NW main station. Shorter walk, less time spent in the cold.

During the Christmas season, trains run at double length. Parking spaces at the Christmas market are already full by midday; beware of parking tickets.

The free "Mühltal" hiking parking lot in Deidesheim is a popular starting point for numerous hikes in the Palatinate Forest. It is close to attractions such as the Deidesheimer Hütte and the Pfalzblick forest restaurant. The parking lot is well signposted and offers access to scenic hiking trails, including the Eselsweg (Donkey Trail) and the German Wine Route.
