The pilgrimage route of many St. Matthias brotherhoods from the Lower Rhine also passes here on their footpath to St. Matthias in Trier.

You can have a great rest under the beautiful chestnut tree.

After a longer ascent through the forest on a gravel path, this is a place to take a break. From here you can drive in one direction to Malberg and St. Thoams and in the other direction to Neidenbach

Here we came from the direction of Mohrweiler. A beautiful forest for walking and hiking.

Today we parked at it and ran a 5km lap through the Gerolsteiner Staatswald. On the way back towards the car we passed the pond again and an angler had just caught a big fish.
