I really like the shelter that was added later. It protects the bench better and allows you to quickly take shelter from wind and weather. It's very comfortable to sit there.

Beautiful rest area. Now with a shelter. View of the Schwartenberg (Seiffen). Great panorama. This spot is highly recommended.

Crossing is possible via a footpath directly next to the main road. Great view from the other side of the dam.

A beautiful spot to linger, with a lovely carved wooden bench. Especially lovely in the morning at sunrise. Definitely worth a stop.

The Purschenstein Bird Wedding came about by chance. Professor Gerd Kaden from Neuhausen was offered a roughly 200-year-old spruce tree from the Rabenau Valley. He designed the figures of the Bird Wedding from this single trunk. A well-maintained shelter for a rest, especially in cold and unpleasant weather. Hopefully, it will remain in its current condition for a long time and not fall victim to vandals.
