The two benches are situated on a slight rise. So far, I'm still fit enough that I don't really need a break there... maybe in 20 years. Nevertheless, I've lingered here a few times, as the cross on the opposite side of the path has always prompted me to pause for a moment. All the photos added by the many other visitors to this spot also tell the eventful story of my home forest over the past few years. Thank you so much for that! 💞

On this path between the two ground gates, we saw several wild boars in mid-August. Both young and adult. We've been hiking for 10 years and have never encountered one before. It's not a problem per se, but you might want to be cautious during the breeding season. Just a friendly reminder...

The board tells you a lot about the planet Uranus. Unfortunately, the planetary model is no longer there (June 25).

These three monkeys, roughly carved from tree trunks, stand to the left of the path between the former "Arche" natural swimming pool and the Wolfskuhle district. While the three monkeys actually mean "wisely overlooking evil" in Japan, in the Western world they are more likely to be interpreted as "refusing to acknowledge all evil." Due to this negative shift in meaning, the three monkeys are often seen as examples of a lack of moral courage or unconditional loyalty.
