The south-west side of the Drachnfels is (unjustly) somewhat neglected. The path offers great views of the rock massif and you can admire some great formations. Ideal early in the year, when there are no leaves on the trees yet, then you can see the open chamber from below

If you like climbing steps, this is the place for you. A long staircase leads to the ruins and at the ruins themselves you will find a good number of steps again.
