Strictly speaking, it's more of a path than a trail, except for one very short section. So it's not a problem, although there are currently quite a few fallen trees lying around.

Beautiful viewpoint from the hiking trail around the crater lake of the deep blue lake and the volcanic caldera.

Striking volcanic cone with castle ruins on the summit. A popular hiking destination. But also worth a look from a distance. :)

The cemetery, which dates back to the 16th century, shows that Hohentwiel was also its own pastoral district. Most of the gravestones date from the 19th and 20th centuries

At the moment (December 2023) there is a much larger pond a few meters further back in the valley and unfortunately a lot of storm damage.
