Forest and lake. Well-maintained paths. It feels like you are in the wilderness. The nature reserve is close to the city. You should take a walk along it.

This part is a section of the "Heikendorf Waterway", which stretches for around 8 km along the hiking trail and the hinterland and has 19 information boards on the subject of water. This is about "sea marks". The area is beautifully laid out with insect-friendly flowerbeds, it has a small section of beach, benches and beach chairs to relax on and restaurants within walking distance. Parking is possible in marked areas for a fee (currently 1 hour costs €1.50, each additional hour also costs €6.00, day ticket).

Here you will find a beach with a fee and beach chairs, as well as a small area without a fee. A long lawn with a beach volleyball court stretches along the groynes. There are changing facilities, a toilet block, benches to relax on and various restaurants. On the promenade there is an art kiosk with a changing exhibition, see the notice at the kiosk.
