From Beach to Dune Wide beaches, beach ridges, and dunes characterize the coastline here. Sea squill, stonecrop, and sea kale grow on the pebbly beaches. The white dunes support marram grass and sea rye, while further inland, the older grey dunes develop, featuring willowherb, thrift, and pansies. They provide space for shrubs, trees, and the non-native rugosa rose.

To enjoy the panoramic view over Kleiner Binnensee, you have to climb onto the dike next to the hiking trail. Then you can even see as far as the Baltic Sea.
