The Nietzsche memorial stone at the southern tip was erected in the year of the philosopher's death (1900) in his memory. A stonemason from Promontogno carved verses from Zarathustra into the memorial plaque, which is now integrated into the rock. Here, at the southern end of the peninsula, the view over Lake Sils and Piz da la Margna is particularly beautiful. The reflections in the water create exceptional lighting conditions. Europe's highest-altitude shipping line, operating from mid-June to mid-October. Not in winter, of course, as the water is covered in ice and snow... Routes can be seen on the map. The boathouse for the ship is also located here, with numerous information boards.
