The cycle path between Hollfeld and Stechendorf is officially known as the Franconian Switzerland High Trail. The path follows the former railway line between Bayreuth and Hollfeld, which was closed in 1974. Thanks to the use of the old railway line, the route is largely flat and gently sloping. From Hollfeld, the path leads along the Wiesent Valley towards Stechendorf and on to Bayreuth. It is often also referred to as a leisure cycle path or a railway line path.

St. Lawrence Church in Tröbersdorf is a historic Evangelical Lutheran branch church that combines various architectural styles spanning over 700 years. A first church likely existed as early as the 11th century, coinciding with the founding of the village. During the Thirty Years' War, the building burned to the ground and was subsequently rebuilt. Today, the church displays harmoniously integrated elements from the Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque, and Neo-Baroque periods. Among the preserved features are Gothic windows.

Three years after the death of his wife Wilhelmine, Margrave Friedrich began construction on a new palace, but did not live to see its completion. His daughter Elisabeth Friederike Sophie inherited the property in 1763 and had a late Baroque garden laid out there by 1780. In 1793, Duchess Friederike Dorothee Sophie of Württemberg acquired the palace. The Duchess incorporated the surrounding landscape into the design, creating a wealth of charming decorative structures and garden scenes based on the existing sandstone cliffs. Duke Alexander of Württemberg took fantasy to a new height. He used the palace as a summer residence and had it rebuilt in 1850/1852 into its current form. https://www.schloesser.bayern.de/deutsch/garten/objekte/bay_fant.htm

For me, the Lausbub is one of the most beautiful beer gardens in Bayreuth and within, say, a 10-km radius. This beer garden is typically Franconian, which is something I value a lot. It starts with the food, of course, and continues with the beer specialties and the service, and of course, doesn't end with the chef, but goes beyond that. Sven, the chef, has a very good hand in designing and selecting his service staff. Everything is just perfect, and you notice it as a guest, which is why you enjoy being here.
