My personal highlight of today's tour through new areas! The renaturalized Sulzbach stream in the tranquil park (despite being in the heart of Frankfurt and adjacent to the A66 motorway) is truly inviting and perfect for relaxing and taking a breather. It's always amazing what hidden gems Frankfurt has to offer!

Source & Course: The Silberbach stream rises in the High Taunus mountains near Schloßborn (municipality of Glashütten). From there, it flows southeast through the wooded Silberbach Valley. Mouth: It flows into the Schwarzbach stream, which in its upper reaches, up to its confluence with the Daisbach stream in Eppstein, is often still referred to as the Dattenbach. The mouth of the Schwarzbach lies between Glashütten-Schloßborn and Eppstein-Vockenhausen. Special Features: The Silberbach Valley is considered ecologically valuable and is managed by the BUND (Friends of the Earth Germany) Königstein-Glashütten branch. The name may historically suggest a stony streambed or former mining attempts. Recreation: A popular hiking trail is the Silberbach Loop, which leads from Dattenbach Valley, passing, among other things, the Atzelberg Tower.

In Kronberg's old town, there are squares with fountains, for example at Schirnplatz, where a decorative fountain with a sculpture is part of the urban streetscape. Such fountains today serve more as urban design elements and enhance the townscape than as historical sources, but they are usually directly related to the late medieval structure of the old town.

It is a joy to see that the canalized Nidda is slowly regaining some "freedom."

If you're at the top of the main road, this place is a must-see. The view is simply magnificent over the Taunus Mountains, Kronberg, and Frankfurt.
