Štúrovo Square in Trenčín is one of the city's most important and vibrant public squares. Located in the center of Trenčín, it forms a natural connection between the city's commercial area and the historic center, overlooking the city's landmark, Trenčín Castle.

The Church of St. Francis Xavier in Trenčín, also known as the Piarist Church, is one of the most important baroque buildings in the city. It was built in the 17th century by the Piarists, a Catholic order dedicated to education. The church impresses with its magnificent façade and the striking twin towers that dominate the cityscape. Inside, visitors can expect rich baroque furnishings with artistically designed altars, frescoes and statues. The main altarpiece, which depicts St. Francis Xavier, one of the patron saints of the missions and namesake of the church, is particularly worth seeing.

The Mestská brána (City Gate) in Trenčín, Slovakia, is an impressive architectural monument that is a significant part of the historic Old Town. It is a remnant of the former city fortifications and testifies to the region's rich history. Located at the entrance to Trenčín's pedestrian zone, the Mestská brána takes visitors straight into the heart of the Old Town. Built in the Middle Ages, it was originally designed to protect the city from invaders. Today, it is a symbol of the connection between the past and the present. Walking through the Mestská brána, one is greeted by the narrow streets, picturesque buildings and lively atmosphere of the Old Town. Looking up to Trenčín Castle, which towers majestically over the city, reinforces the feeling of stepping back in time. The Mestská brána is a popular destination for tourists and a place that reflects Trenčín's cultural identity. It is not only a monument, but also a living part of the daily life of the city's inhabitants.

The statue of St. Valentine dates back to 1998 and has a fascinating reputation. It tells that the waterman wandered here from Moravia and fell in love with the gingerbread woman Anička, who returned his love. However, their happiness together was hampered by the townspeople, who did not like the waterman. One day, however, Anička's gingerbread house caught fire. Waterman did not hesitate, he rushed to Váh and opened new springs from the underground, which put out the fire. Anička survived the accident, but Vodník did not. And so the residents of the town at that time had fountains built in the places where the water sprung. In memory of the heroic Waterman, a statue with his portrait was later erected here. In summer, wooden benches are set up near it, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view directly onto Trenčín Castle. In the evening, the unique fountain is complemented by light effects.
