For the potential extension of the 10-minute service to Strausberg, the S-Bahn line must be (partially) double-tracked. Double-tracking will enable more punctual and reliable service in the future. Due to the current largely single-track nature of the line, trains from the opposite direction can only meet every 20 minutes and only at the few passing points, such as here at Fredersdorf station. This means that delays are quickly passed on to the following S-Bahn trains. Reducing delays is therefore difficult. Here, at the Bruchmühler Straße level crossing, the industrial railway branches off to Rüdersdorf. A feasibility study commissioned by the VBB (Vienna Transport and Public Transport) is investigating the potential for reactivating passenger service between Fredersdorf and Rüdersdorf. Homemade cakes. Although they're open from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, I was able to enjoy a delicious warm rhubarb cake at 11:30 AM. Super nice café! Closed Monday and Tuesday.

In the spring of 1926, construction work began on an outdoor swimming pool in the area of the municipality of Petershagen on the border with Fredersdorf directly on the Mühlenfließ. A bathing establishment was built that was 100 m long, 28 m wide and an average depth of approx. 2.0 m. The bathing establishment was opened on May 15, 1926. There was space for up to 2,000 bathers, there was a diving tower with 5 boards and a slide. If necessary, used water was replaced with fresh water from the river using valves. The inflows and outflows can still be seen today. After it was closed in 1942, people started swimming again after the war, and children from Petershagen and Fredersdorf in particular continued to romp around here until the 1960s. Today there is not much left to see of the former bathing establishment. The lawn has become overgrown with wild growth and at the beginning of the 2000s the former bathing establishment was a silted pond. With funding from the municipality of Petershagen-Eggersdorf, the silt was dredged at the end of 2006 in order to renaturate the water area. However, there are no plans to restore the bathing establishment. The ice cream parlor “Eisjunge” is no longer at this location. The café was closed after the 2021 season and reopened on May 1, 2022 as the ice cream parlor "MISCHKA-EIS" at Zillestraße 15 in Fredersdorf Nord.

The monument in memory of those persecuted by the Nazi regime (VdN) was built in 1951 using a bowl that belonged to the Bohm family of manufacturers and is a listed building. The base was designed by the Fredersdorf stonemason Zöllner. On the front you can find the inscription "VdN. The victims warn".

The Fredersdorf town hall was built in 1937/38 for around 48,000 Reichsmarks. Until then, the community's administration was housed in various temporary arrangements. There was an early fountain on the square in front of the town hall, which was originally located in a small park at the house of "Fabrik-Bohm" in Fredersdorf-Süd. The fountain disappeared in a cloak and dagger operation in the 1970s. It was never clarified where, but no report was filed either. The town hall with the VdN monument on Liberation Square is a listed building.
