The Fischerhuder Wümmenniederung can be reached quickly from both Bremen and Lilienthal. On the current section, the subsoil is more suitable for wide bicycle tires, but you have peace in nature and can enjoy the silence. Highly Recommended!

Fischerhude on the Wümme, known as an artists' village since the beginning of the 20th century, impresses with its historic buildings in romantic alleys. It is a place that invites you to linger. With around 3,400 inhabitants, Fischerhude is a relatively small place, but it is worth a stay just for the museum of the impressionist and co-founder of Worpswede, Otto Modersohn. But the Wümme that flows here, the local museum, the Liebfrauenkirche and the Mühlenberg with its windmill are also worth a visit. First mentioned in documents in 1124, Fischerhude, located on the Hamburg-Bremen long-distance cycle route, belongs to the town of Ottersberg.
