🏭🏛️ The Lohne Industrial Museum is the repository of the industrial history of Lohne and the entire Oldenburg Münsterland region. It vividly illustrates how the small community developed into a "city of specialized industries".

🏢 The Station Building The original brick station building was put into operation in 1888, when the Vechta to Lohne section of the railway line opened. The historic building was sold to the city by Deutsche Bahn in the early 2000s, renovated, and remodeled. This included demolishing the separate goods shed and altering the original dormer window structure.

🚌 Public Transport Connections The Lohne (Oldenburg) central bus station (ZOB) is located near the train station. From here, there are further bus connections to the city districts and surrounding towns, including the on-demand bus lines to Dinklage and Märschendorf.

🚂 Historic Branch Line The Lohne–Dinklage narrow-gauge railway used to branch off from Lohne station, opening on November 15, 1904. However, this line was finally closed in 2003 and the tracks were later dismantled. Much of the former route now serves as a cycle path.
