Paid road from Feustersoey (7.frs), diverted and ultimately impossible to park (and stay) given the crowds. No prior information from the pay attendant because obviously no parking capacity management...😡

There are four possible routes up the Col de la Croix, and the best of them eschews the more direct - and much busier - road through Ollons and instead passes through the quiet vineyards at Bex. Be warned, though: the final section of this pass is the steepest, the road hitting the mid-teens as it crescendos to 1,778m
