Lac de Bretaye is a peaceful high-altitude lake nestled at 1,800 meters in the Vaud Alps. Surrounded by meadows and gentle peaks, it's an ideal spot for a quiet break, a picnic, or simply admiring the scenery. Easily accessible from Villars-sur-Ollon on foot or by cogwheel train, it offers a beautiful interlude in the heart of the mountains.

Visit Lac des Chavonnes for a quiet alpine getaway, where you’ll find a crystal-clear lake surrounded by dense forest and mountain peaks. Located approximately 1,690 meters above sea level, this hidden lake offers hiking trails that wind through pine trees and lead to breathtaking viewpoints. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, including marmots and alpine birds, which add to the lake’s serene, natural beauty.

Departing from the Chablais vineyards, the Col de la Croix is 22 kilometers long and 1,300 meters high, ending in an alpine landscape above the Villars resort.

Similar to other villages in the region, accessible by train or by road, it is the starting point for many hikes! Very pretty and very bucolic!

This station is located at an altitude of 1800 meters and is the upper terminus of the Barboleuse - Les Chaux cable car. It is part of the Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets ski area. The resort also has a restaurant. From the resort, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Muverans mountain range and the Rhône valley. You can also access various trails that lead to other picturesque sites, such as Lac des Chavonnes or Col de la Croix. The resort is open from June to October for the summer season.
