Universal Postal Service Monument, Kleine Schanze, Bern The Universal Postal Service Monument in the "Kleine Schanze" park was erected in 1909. The Universal Postal Service monument, unveiled on October 4, 1909, is the work of the French sculptor René de Saint-Marceaux (1845 - 1915). It is made of granite and bronze and commemorates the founding of the organization in Bern. On the occasion of the 150th anniversary, a dedication was unveiled in front of the monument on October 9, 2024. The Gantrischseeli 🌊 in the Gantrisch Nature Park is an idyllic mountain lake at an altitude of 1,570 meters. The starting point of the hike is usually the Gantrischhütte, which can be reached in 1 to 1.5 hours. The path leads through meadows and forests 🌿. Perfect for a picnic and relaxing.
