There are information boards about the history of the border in many places in this region. They are part of the "Borderless from Lübeck to Boltenhagen" project and explain what it meant that the Baltic coast was a border area during the GDR era.

An Os or Wallberg is a wall-like, often curved elevation made of sand and gravel that was formed during the Ice Age. A great little forest area with a beautiful stream.

The cycle path runs along the former border directly along the country road!

The Prieschendorfer Os is a wall-like embankment of meltwater sands and gravel of different heights, which were deposited at the base of crevasses. An Os is part of a ground moraine landscape, as it was formed under the glacial ice during the Ice Age.
