The whole route is unique, you come very far out into the reed desert and are right in the middle of it. Most of the time you can't see far because you can't see over the reeds. The observation tower is great for that. There is also a dry place to rest here.

The bronze sculpture was originally created in 1928 for those who died in the First World War. According to a decision by the city administration, the Second World War was added to the inscription.

With around 20,000 hectares, the Peene river valley is one of the largest contiguous fen areas in Central and Western Europe. Here you can observe waterfowl up close.

A fantastic habitat for fauna and flora. Migratory bird flocks, in particular, benefit from the abundance of food during their regular migrations between their breeding grounds and winter quarters. Hopefully, this piece of nature will remain intact.

Great view over the moor and its feathered inhabitants. Nice place to take a break. The benches in the covered playground could use some repairs.

Somewhat hidden between trees is the memorial for the fallen of the First World War: a dying lion on a stone pedestal. The sculpture, created by August Kraus in 1928, was cast in bronze and has been in the Anklam city park since October 7, 1928. This monument is unique. The inscription in the base of the monument was supplemented with the dates of the Second World War by a majority decision of the city council.
