Please do not use this observation platform during the resting periods in spring and autumn to give the cranes more peace and space. Instead, you can use the nearby observation points of the Kranorama.

In spring and fall, a visit to the Kranorama is definitely worthwhile. Visitors can expect a magnificent spectacle. Hundreds to thousands of cranes and geese gather in the meadows, calling, hooting, honking, and fluttering around, flying away and returning. There's also great information on the information boards and from the friendly rangers on hand.

The water is drinkable; after 15 pumps, it comes fresh from the pump. There are benches for a rest, the chestnut trees provide shade, and the church next door is also worth a visit.

The path to the spring itself is very beautiful. Unfortunately, in summer, it's plagued by massive mosquitoes.
