Wrangelsburg Castle is a manor house in Wrangelsburg in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district. It was built in 1880 and has been privately owned since 2017.

The current castle was built in 1878. The previous building was converted into a baroque castle in 1652 by Carl Gustav Wrangel, the Swedish general governor of Pomerania. In 1945 it was expropriated and occupied by the Soviet military administration. Today it is in private hands.

Well maintained and restored, only the capstone is missing

At this spot there is a megalithic passage grave, created around 5000 years ago. A small plaque provides further information and a seating area invites you to rest.

The writing can only be read from the water. This also applies to a rich fishing catch.

The avenue, with its many very old trees, is really impressive and also beautiful to look at. The trees line a historic path, and many people have probably passed by them on this route. Due to the lack of a separate cycle path, the route runs along the K 27, so cyclists have to share the road with vehicles.

The castle is private and not accessible, but walking (not cycling) is allowed on the park paths - it's worth it. A very well-kept facility.

Good that it was described, otherwise the stones would not have said anything to me.
