This natural landmark offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the dramatic rock formations of the Portuguese west coast. Key Features Privileged Location: Situated at the westernmost point of mainland Portugal, Cabo Carvoeiro, an area of great natural beauty and geological importance. Stunning Views: From the viewpoint, it is possible to observe the steep cliffs and the ocean. On clear days, the view reaches the Berlengas Islands, which are part of a Nature Reserve. Rock Formations: The area is known for its unique rock formations and caves, such as the Furninha Cave, which can be appreciated from the various nearby observation points. Trails and Access: Pilate's Balcony is accessible via hiking and cycling trails that circle Cabo Carvoeiro, starting from the city of Peniche.
