A flood in the summer of 2021 devastated the center of Mayschoß. The federal highway 267 and the route of the Ahr Valley Railway were destroyed by the masses of water. The town could only be reached from the north (Kalenborn or Alteheck) via field and forest paths. In the past, parts of Mayschoß were destroyed by numerous Ahr floods, including those in 1804 and 1910. The restoration of the town is still in full swing.

Really alpine trail with easier climbing sections, not always very stable rock and sometimes finding the way requires a bit of intuition.

Nice rock formation. Unfortunately, the bridges and the city were washed away by the flood.
