Idyllic Fischbachtal with beautiful path and photogenic bridges

A real highlight for mountain bikers in the Franconian Forest. Due to the low gradient, the trail can also be ridden uphill without any problems. The time required for the almost 10km total route should not be underestimated because of the sections that are prepared in places by forestry machines and the frequent crossings of the stream over sometimes dilapidated bridges with steps. In between there is the beer fountain for refueling 🍺.

Beautiful valley ideal for mountain biking, especially the many river crossings, have fun 🚵‍♂️👍😏

Not recommended in the summer, overgrown with stinging donkeys and tall grass (ticks). The only way to get past the collapsed bridge is to carry your bike down the slope over fallen trees. Very adventurous and hardly feasible at this point alone.

On June 27th, 2023 I drove the Mühlenweg, after the Schübelmühle the path is gone through a fallen tree and a landslide. I then went left up an overgrown, old, but still recognizable farm path in the direction of Eppenreuth and from there back to the Mühlental and near Petersmühle further out of the valley.

Currently there are only impairments over a distance of about 20 meters due to wind damage or timber moving. Otherwise passable throughout. The forest roads are in order again.

Especially between the paper mill and the slag mill, the path is currently (Nov. 2022) completely destroyed by timber moving and only morass. It is questionable whether it will ever regenerate to its old beauty (P. S.: the little bridge above the Petersmühle has also collapsed at the moment).
