The public and historic Dahlen estate, which now houses a nursing home, is embedded in a landscape park. Many of the trees growing in the estate park are of exotic origin and have name plaques. There are numerous places to sit and there is also a covered picnic table for tired hikers right in front of the entrance to the nursing home.

The name of the stone does not derive from the color, but from the meaning of the old German word bliuwan, i.e. bleuen (like bleuen), beat off. A blue stone is therefore a "bloody stone" on which court judgments were carried out in pre-Christian times. An oak, beech or linden tree and the blue stone, which is considered sacred, stood in the center of the court Judgment bumped into this stone three times.

The fountain was created and used in 1980 as a drinking trough for cattle. In 1999 it was bordered and since then all of its water has been fed to the Klein Briesener Bach. The inflow helps ensure that the creek does not dry up completely during the low-rainfall seasons. The red color of the sediment is caused by oxidation and deposition of the iron dissolved in the groundwater when it comes into contact with air.

An imposing tree, this dead oak! It is said that the Prussian chief took a rest at this tree. In the run-up to Christmas, an Advent market is traditionally held here.

The approach from Klein Briesen is very bumpy (a hiking trail!), But the artesian well that gushes out of the ground here is worth seeing. There is also a nice seat with an information board.

Interesting little source, but the small area around the meandering little river that develops from it is much nicer :)
