The Riederstein (1207m) is a rock spur that can be seen from afar, approx. 150 meters above the Galaun Alm with the mountain inn there. Anyone who completes the well-known Stations of the Cross with its 14 display panels of Christ's suffering from 1897 and its approximately 500 steps definitely deserves a reward. The view of Tegernsee and the surrounding mountains from the small platform behind the chapel is definitely a worthy compensation for the effort.

The Riederstein (1207m) is a rock spur, approx. 150 meters above the Alm Galaun with the mountain inn there. When approaching from the Süßbach hiking car park, we recommend the T2 forest management route, the much better alternative to the signposted forest road. There are also several route variants between Galaun-Alm and Riederstein. We walked up the well-known Way of the Cross with its 14 display boards from 1897 on the Passion of Christ and its 500 steps.

Nice view, not as crowded as Zwiesel

Beautiful view. I hiked once from the Blomberg valley station and once from the Waldherr Alm to the Zwiesel. I liked the latter a lot better because the route is nicer, not so steep and above all not so crowded
