Well furnished and managed hut on the small, beautiful Lake Tomeo.

A beautiful place with an Alpine soul. The shelter has thermal insulation, electric lighting with solar panels, running water in the shelter and in the bathroom, wood stove for cooking and heating. Modern dormitory with 24 beds with wool mattresses and blankets. ATTENTION: from here on, following the path towards the Alpe Costa refuge is suggestive but requires experience and surefootedness, the terrain is rocky.

The hut is managed by an association on a voluntary basis on a weekly basis... It is beautifully situated with a wonderful view down into the valley

One of the typical unattended huts here in Ticino... You have to cook for yourself, but you can stock up on basic foods such as pasta and tomato sauce in the pantry for a fee

The Alpe Nimi is a goat pasture with guest accommodation at 1718 meters. Very good gastronomic offer of homemade products (goat cheese, bread, pasta, lasagne, gnocchi, desserts, cakes, etc.). From the pasture you have a magnificent view of Lake Maggiore and the Monte Rosa mountains. The hut can be reached from Cimetta, the Maggia or Verzasca valleys in 4 to 6 hours. In addition to half board (aperitif, dinner and breakfast), there is also the option of just sleeping and cooking yourself or camping on site for a small fee. The Alpe Nimi offers 18 beds. There is cell phone reception around the hut.

The Capanna Tomeo is located in a landscape carved into the rock, near the Lake of Tomeo with its intense colors, at the foot of bold peaks and ridges and in the middle of hiking trails and passes that lead to the neighboring valleys. Modern building with every comfort replacing the old cottage. This hut is located on the Maggia Valley high road and is therefore an interesting place to stay for those who cross it.
