As the property of the Ticino SAC section, the Campo Tencia hut is the first mountain hut in the Ticino Alps. It was built in 1912 at the foot of the summit of the same name. The hut that exists today was rebuilt in 1977 after a fire and is comfortable and modern; Further renovation work has been carried out in recent years. The kitchen is excellent, the material that is needed was brought to our breakfast by helicopter.

The Via Alta della Verzasca is a long but beautiful tour In September 2016 we went for two the tour in 5 days. This time in good 33h with start of Tremorgio. This is actually the logical continuation of the ridge. Only as I would come from the Pizzo Campo Tencia to the barons, I was not clear. Thanks to good planning, however, this route is more than successful. The "+" of this tour stands for the additional route (Tremorgio to Barone). But also the prevailing weather conditions deserve a plus! The tour is of course also worthwhile in 5 or more days, but the whole track in one piece is something very special. The + also stands for the possibility of setting one's own boundaries.
