During my time in Bad Reiboldsgrün in the GDR, we often went hiking to Grünheide/Vogtland - it was always a childhood wish and that lasted until 1981 and once in 2024!

Holiday camp/youth hostel with many leisure activities on a large site. The location can also be used as a starting point for hikes. There are enough parking spaces here.

Nice trail. For me as an absolute beginner it was actually quite difficult to drive in places. But it's really fun. Only driving up is sometimes annoying because some forest roads are not always cleared.

The car park at Waldpark Grünheide is the ideal starting point for beautiful (circular) hikes through the high moor at Lake Vogtland. The leisure area at the Grünheide forest park itself includes a climbing park, playgrounds and accommodation for children's camps, families and seminars.
