Please do not use this observation platform during the resting periods in spring and autumn to give the cranes more peace and space. Instead, you can use the nearby observation points of the Kranorama.

In spring and fall, a visit to the Kranorama is definitely worthwhile. Visitors can expect a magnificent spectacle. Hundreds to thousands of cranes and geese gather in the meadows, calling, hooting, honking, and fluttering around, flying away and returning. There's also great information on the information boards and from the friendly rangers on hand.

A beautiful spot right on the lake with a small sandy beach. However, swimming is prohibited because Lake Borgwallsee is a drinking water reservoir for Stralsund.

The viewing platform doesn't have any particular charm, but there is seating to take a break.

Unfortunately, it was closed when I got here at 11:30 on Monday. There were also no opening hours or information on the door. Pity!
