A barrow from the Late Hallstatt Period (c. 750–450 BC) is a prehistoric burial site in the form of an earthen mound containing the burial of an individual or a group of deceased. These graves often contain rich grave goods such as jewelry, weapons, and ceramics, indicating the social status of the deceased, especially for the ruling class, who could also be buried with ceremonial carriages. The graves demonstrate an increasing social hierarchy and bear witness to the burial customs of the time.

The fountain has been beautifully restored - however, the section of the associated cycle path with the trees is visibly suffering from the roots of the trees - unfortunately, no action has been taken here.

On the other side of the road, no way to stop or cross the road.

The historic fountain between Herzogenaurach and Falkendorf has been renovated. However, it first had to be dismantled.

Dae Eichenbrünnlein is on the other side of the road, but there are tables and benches on the bike path side. The Aurach floodplain is also worth a break.

Well maintained facility.

The area around the Dohnwald has been supplying water for the city of Herzogenaurach since 1933. The first water was taken from the oak fountain and brought to the city via a water pipe. After 1945, wells I to IV were drilled near the waterworks. Because no protection zones can be designated around the wells because they are too close to the construction areas, they may not be used for the drinking water supply. Well III, however, still supplies the swimming pools of the Atlantis leisure pool.
