The Liebfrauenbrunn pilgrimage chapel is a historical and spiritual attraction near Werbach im Taubertal. It was built in the 15th century as an open field chapel and rebuilt in 1902 in the Gothic style. Under the chapel there is a spring that, according to legend, has healing powers, especially for eye problems. The chapel is dedicated to Mary, Mother of Sorrows, and is visited by many pilgrims who ask for her help and intercession. The chapel has rich furnishings, including a grace altar by the artist Thomas Buscher and numerous votive plaques. The chapel is surrounded by an avenue of imperial linden trees and fourteen Stations of the Cross. The chapel is located in an idyllic place in the Welzbachtal, which invites you to linger and pray.

You get a better overview of the Mainschleife if you dare the fairly steep climb from Hofgarten and then cycle to Urphar. Then you also have a magnificent view of the so-called "Himmelreich" on the other side of the Main.
