The moorland, albeit a very short one, is very beautiful in summer. We observed a number of lizards and were able to listen to the frogs singing. The remaining tours through the adjoining mixed forest area are rather boring and arbitrary.

Those who trudge over wooden planks here will like the moor adventure trail to the “Großes Veen” heath moor in the north-eastern part of the forest with its rare moor dwellers. A special experience!
