Because of its location, the Alzasca hut is an ideal starting point for hikes to the lakes of Alzasca and Sascola and for crossings to other huts and valleys. The huts were realized from two buildings of the Alzascaalm. Nowadays they are prepared in such a way that they are fully functional and meet the needs of the guests. In the main building there is a fully equipped kitchen with running water, a wood and gas stove, dishes for 35 people, lounge for 30 people, toilet with washing facilities. The lighting is supported by a small hydroelectric power station, ensured by solar panels. The sleeping places, 22 in total, all with down comforters, are divided between the two buildings.
