More and more people have recently made pilgrimages to the brewery chapel because the water source in the chapel was said to have healing properties in the past. Here, at the source, a lady of the castle asked the Mother of God for the continued existence of her family. Mother Mary appeared to her and promised her a rich offspring. Then a white rose bloomed in the middle of the wilderness. Crutches left behind by healed people used to be kept here. The Bräukapelle is located on the "Bründlweg" hiking trail no. 89, from Wesenufer to Waldkirchen. The source is freely accessible and equipped with a ladle. The Bräukapelle is located on the old road from Waldkirchen to Wesenufer. It was built at a spring mentioned above. In 1900, master brewer Alois Rosenstingl had the chapel rebuilt from scratch, and in 1954 the timber construction was replaced by a solid construction. In 2007 the chapel was generalized according to the original plans. The centerpiece is the wooden statue of the Immaculate of Lourdes from the Ateliera Linzinger. Source: https://www.donauregion.at

The Schlögener Schlinge is a river meander in the upper Danube valley in Upper Austria, about halfway between Passau and Linz (between river kilometers 2186.5 and 2180.5 of the east-flowing Danube) and the largest forced meander in Europe. The southern, right bank is in the municipality of Haibach ob der Donau and its district Schlögen, after which the loop is named. In the north, the municipalities of Hofkirchen im Mühlkreis with the village of Au and in the far east Niederkappel with the village of Grafenau border in the area of the Danube loop. By the way, not a via ferrata, but shorter sport climbing routes.

The Kühstein 710m The Kühstein, located between Oberpeilstein and Meisingeröd, has become a beautiful destination. Several hiking trails also meet here. The somewhat grim face on the southeast side doesn't stop climbers from practicing on the rocks. Nevertheless, this rock castle has retained its old historical grandeur. Our prehistoric ancestors used the large bowl on the summit for sacrifice. They also came here to select their bards. Five pines adorn the summit level, they are about 140 years old. To the northeast you have a good view of the small Mühltal valley, and you can also enjoy the sunrise. Two ramparts testify to an early castle around 1300 and around 1600 there was a wooden chapel at the foot of the rock. The Kühstein is energetically connected to the nearby Bründlstein. Luckily there are also a few nice rest stops nearby in an otherwise very quiet and contemplative section.
