The "White Dune of Saulkrasti" is a special natural spectacle on the Baltic coast of Latvia, which shows the transition between pine forest and sea in an impressive way. Saulkrasti, which translates as "sunny coast", lives up to its name, especially when the sky is clear and the sun makes the sand shine in warm tones. The dune landscape is not only a place of peace, but also a small adventure for those who follow the paths through the pine forest to the coast. A visit is particularly worthwhile in the late afternoon, when the low sun bathes the landscape in a magical light.
