Start your hike as early as you can - on a fine day the summit can get pretty crowded in the late morning/early afternoon.

Be sure to walk around the crater rim of the extinct volcano Eden. It's supposed to be very beautiful up there at sunset, too.🌋

You don't necessarily have to start in Queenstown. We started in Fernhill and found it very nice. You sometimes have to watch out for mountain bikers

The volcano is breathtaking...in hot weather and strong sunlight, the climb is quite sporty - be careful of the sun
