Be careful! From Oberhüttensee onwards, it is no longer possible to "ride" the MTB or EMTB! Here you have to push, lift and sometimes carry! The scenery is an absolute dream! Lots of small lakes, a great view!

From Radstadt to Untertauern you can drive quickly, from Untertauern onwards things really get going! It's better to leave very early because of the traffic...

There are some pushing and carrying sections, but it's also doable with an e-bike. A certain level of fitness and technical riding skills are required. If you're already out of breath at the Oberhütte, it's best to turn back.

Also possible with an e-bike, but you should be technically proficient for the descent afterwards. Great route in good weather, but it gets difficult when it rains

Pushing and carrying passage with great views

Along the fascinatingly jagged rocks, you mostly push your bike through the Seekarscharte. Crossing an "Alpine pass" is a real experience. With an e-bike, it's a very strenuous affair, but you don't have to carry it. The bike only has to be pulled or lifted over slightly higher "steps" four or five times. Despite all the hard work, the journey is worth it here too. A wonderful view, two small, beautiful lakes and a great mountain panorama are the reward for the effort.
