나는 그곳 고개에서 하루 종일 선베드에 누워 자전거와 오토바이 타는 사람들을 구경할 수 있을 것 같아요. 이 고개가 얼마나 인기가 있는지, 그리고 이곳을 정복하는 모든 사람들에게 존경을 표합니다.

산악 도로 초보자라면 시계 방향으로 도로를 이용하는 것이 좋습니다. 이 방향으로는 오르막이 그다지 힘들지 않습니다 😉

From up here you have a fantastic view down the valley in both directions. The Carl-von-Stahl-Haus, located here, is also highly recommended. Excellent service, friendly staff, and very good accommodation.

Somewhat steep climb to the summit cross

The route from the Lueg Pass towards Werfen is currently a dangerous challenge for cyclists, as there is no dedicated cycle path on this section of the B159. Cyclists must share the road space with motorized traffic, which poses a safety risk, especially in heavy traffic and narrow road conditions. Less experienced cyclists should therefore use the train transfer from Golling to Werfen, which offers a safe alternative to avoid this critical section. Overall, this section is designated as a cycle path and is also passable, but special caution is required on this section.

Take a break! and enjoy the view of the valley

Only one thing comes to mind: Stay away from this dangerous road. It reminds me of the Allgäu 40 years ago, when there were few bike paths and we rode on federal highways, hoping we wouldn't be run over by a truck. I'm not afraid, but all the locals have advised me to take the train from Werfenweng to Golling. Take your time; you'll certainly have plenty of it as a cyclist, with or without luggage.
