Lipperode Castle, first mentioned in documents in 1248, is the remains of a moated castle south of Lippstadt-Lipperode in the Soest district. The Niederungsburg was part of the rule of the noble lords of Lippe and did not serve as their headquarters, as it was moved to Rheda around 1220 and later to Detmold. The castle gained particular importance when it was converted into a fortress in 1600, which was built according to the Dutch model but was demolished again in the 17th century.

Also on the Schelhasseweg you will find a lookout tower that can only be reached by stairs. In order to create better observation opportunities, especially for water birds, a large still body of water with an island was created as part of the project.

A viewing hill with an observation platform was created here in 2008 by the North Rhine-Westphalia Foundation. The vantage point can only be reached by stairs.

The Four Seasons Park in Oelde is a former state horticultural show and now the green heart ❤ of Oelde. With swimming pool, restaurant, petting zoo, etc.

Very interesting is the high-pressure line along the way. Nature and industry come together here. The paths are narrow and are nicely shaded.
