This dam on the Nahe is embedded in a wonderful landscape. The Nahe meanders through the mountains and rocks in large and sometimes narrow loops. This place is simply gorgeous, especially in sunny weather when the water sparkles beautifully.

The K2 tour actually goes through the Trübenbach valley, but there is a diversion due to fallen trees, but that didn't stop us. A nice stretch of the path would have been missing.

The 13.5 km long vitality tour 3-Burgen-Weg leads from the Kyrburg in the Kirner Nahetal to the Steinkallenfels and Wartenstein castles in the Hahnenbach gorge. The two castles are located on impressive rock walls (quartzite corridors) that stretch across the valley. Another destination are the free-standing, up to 30 m high quartzite rocks of the Kirner Dolomites, which protrude above the treetops above the Hahnenbachtal in several places.

The waterfall in Trübenbachtal is definitely worth a detour!
